ICLW and Something Funny

Sorry my intro ICLW post is late.  (Don't know what ICLW is?  Click on the icon to the right!)  This is my second month doing it, and last month I made iron commenter.  I have the carpal tunnel to prove it!  haha  You can see last month's intro post here.  The only change to it is that I am currently mid-late cycle (depending on how long the cycle will last) on our final round of femara.  I haven't been temping, as working nights messes my temps all up, so it doesn't really reflect much of anything.  So, basically, we're doing a blind try at it.  Also, one of you needs to remind me to call and make an appointment for January with the RE.  I keep forgetting.  Anyhoo, I'm looking forward to reading and commenting on a lot of blogs this week.  I'm trying for Iron Commenter, again.  We'll see!  Have a question for me?  Just ask!  I'm not shy!

So, for my "something funny," I present to you these pictures:

(The above one reads, "Lovely Codacge. Please do not bury your love. Love is not love until someone recieve it."  Not my typos!)

(This one reads, "To My Friend: I wandered lonely as a clluodthat Floats on high o'er the vales and hills.  When all at once I saw a crowd.  A host of golder daffodils.  Beneath the trees.  Fluttering and dancing in the breeze."  And, no...those aren't typos on my part.  That's how they actually read!)

Hilarious, no?  Here's the story.  We were given these gift bags, and Nick was looking at them and noticed these weird poems and stuff on it.  We came to the conclusion that they must be Chinese or something.  Also, we don't think they're licensed like something with these characters on it should be.  I don't blame the person who gave them to us, they probably just saw the characters and thought, "Oh! Krystal and Nick could probably use these!"  lol  We plan to just cut the characters off and let Asher play with them.

Hopefully you find this as funny as we did!

Cute!!!! U replied to my post and I wanted to respond that most adoptees are appreciative of their adoptive families and going through foster care is so diff than open or agency adoption. In those the bmom is seen almost as a hero by the adoptive family with great admiration. I can tell u my parents don't admire my bio mom.

I love Engrish. Those bags are prolly knock offs since the translations are so far off, but they're still pretty funny.

The bags are cute. I was wondering about the story behind them as I was scrolling down.

I hope you get to adopt Asher. My cousin adopted two babies through our foster care system and I have seen how happy she is. And the kids require a bit more love and attention, and it's worth it.

Happy Icomleavwe !

I hope the process goes smoothly for adopting Asher.

funny typos! def prob from China or another country.

Chelle November 23, 2009 at 3:30 PM

The bags are hilarious. You could cut out the characters and hide away the rest until he is old enough to enjoy the typos. :)

If you made iron commenter last month and are shooting for it again I am impressed that your comments aren't canned responses as most people's are.

The bags are too funny. Best wishes for your journy to adopting Asher!

I love it.

We have a house in europe and it's so funny to go to the shops and see things written in English on t-shirts for the kids (probably made in China) that make very little syntactical sense in English.

blessings on the adoption of your 2year old foster child! I mentor kids at-risk and in the foster care system and have for decades.

I am thrilled for you and ICLW -- Happy Thanksgiving! I am going for Iron status in Nov, spreading love and cheer!

Those bags are too funny! I have loved seeing these kinds of typos when traveling--I really get a kick out of it.

I am so impressed with your Iron Commenter attempt. I thought I would try until I saw how many were on the list this month! You go!

Hey, thank you for the ICLW comment! I used to work in the bicycling industry and kept a file folder of all the weirdly-translated bike part ads that showed up in magazines. THings that probably made sense in Chinese, but once they were translated over? Word soup. Your post brought back good times - thank you!

Wow bad translation. That is hilarious. Thanks for visiting my blog.

I simply love adoption. My sister & brother in law adopted my nephew, a 9 yr old boy, who made all our lives so much brighter. Good luck!

Love the bags! And thanks for dropping by my blog. I really liked your explination on the chemical pregnancy.

Happy ICLW!

I hope that you will be able to hold your little Asher, your miracle, soon.

I pray that the Femara works for you as well.

Hi Krystal, I was reading the sidebar just now, that is impressive to be together so long, already! Great. Here's to many more years together and, a good ICLW to you.

Big Mama T November 25, 2009 at 10:05 PM

Hah, those bags are too funny. There are very few things funnier than sloppy translations, lol.
And I may take you up on asking about fostering (if they ever mail me the stinkin' information, lol).

Laura Brown November 27, 2009 at 12:52 PM

Good luck with Iron Commenter. I can't imagine doing so many comments. I set the goal of making it through the list just once this week. I am just over halfway and it is already the last day! :)

The gift bags definitely gave me a chuckle.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I hope that all goes smoothly with your adoption of Asher.
